INFORMATION FOR PARENTS ON HOW WE WILL OPERATE SAFELY DURING COVID-19
For Aqua Jems, the health & safety of both your children & our staff is paramount. In line with Government guidelines, we have put in place stringent measures to ensure your children can enjoy swimming lessons with us in a safe environment.
PERSONAL HYGIENE & CLEANING -
We will have a good supply of antibacterial hand sanitiser on arrival and in every poolside area. Soap will be readily available in all toilets. Both children & staff will be asked to use hand sanitiser on entering & exiting the building.
Clean, disinfected equipment will be replaced each lesson with each child using the same equipment for the duration of their lesson.
All staff will wear visors during lessons and face masks before and after entering the building.
Parents and children over the age of 11 will be requested to wear face masks whilst in the building.
Children are required to come swim ready where possible to minimise traffic in the changing rooms and if possible to shower at home after lessons.
SOCIAL DISTANCING -
In line with social distancing requirements, we are keeping class sizes to a minimum. Children will remain in their swimming class bubble each week.
We will operate a one way system around the pool. Social distancing must be observed on poolside by spectators, in observation areas and throughout change over of lessons.
After the lesson, we request that parents do not congregate on poolside and that you exit as quickly as possible.
We will remind [parents when they arrive, that we adhere to the government guidelines on social distancing requesting that there is 2 metres between everyone. We request that just one parent attends site.
We will continue to teach in the water as it is safer and more productive for the children, keeping 1 metre distance where possible and safe to do so, or teaching side on.
